Rubber Band Trajectory Project Description/Info:
This is an in-class group project with a group Wiki Write Up. The goal of the project is to enable you with the tools and experience to be successful conducting and designing a science experiment. The Topics focused on are: designing a good experiment, writing a good experiment procedure, data collection, data analysis, data graphing, and the overall use of the scientific method. The question we will be attempting to answer as a class is: "How does the angle (15, 30, 45, 60, and 75 degrees) affect the distance a rubber band will travel?" The most challenging aspect of this experiment is designing an experiment, collaborating and working with others. You will need to be patient, careful, and attentive to detail. At the end of the project, every group will create a wiki outlining the scientific method conducted in this class project. The wiki wil include many items, which is stated below.
Objective:
Wiki Requirements:
1. Front Page:
- A title
- The name of everyone in your group - Only your first name
- A couple of pictures that you took or Mr. Ozeni took for your project
- A description of the Rubber Band Project Wiki - DO NOT just copy and paste what I have written above.
- Embed the movie that you and your group created. See the rubber band project packet for instructions on the requirements for what the movie needs to include.
2. Side Bar:
- Copy and Paste the entire side bar from Mr. Ozeni's Rubber Band Project page
- Remember to link your front page and your project packet in your side bar. Everything else should already be linked.
3. Rubber Band Project Packet
- Each group will get a rubber band project packet shared through Google Docs. Your job is to first finish the packet in Google Docs. Then, publish the document so the entire public can view it.
- After you publish the packet, you will need to link it to your side bar.
- The requirements for the notebook are listed in red. Make sure to answer everything in red and then delete the red instructions before pasting it into your wiki.
